The Way Home

Privacy, plainly explained

Who we are

The Way Home is run by Centrepoint, a UK company. Daniel and Lily founded it together, from Hoi An, Vietnam, but the coaching itself is Daniel’s alone. That means if you’re in the UK, your data does travel to reach us. We’ve set things up properly for that, and you’ll see how below.

What we collect

When you set up, we collect your name and email, and everything in your intake: things like your weight, height, and body measurements, your sleep and habits, and your goals. As you use the app, we collect your journal entries and voice notes, your weekly check-ins, and your progress photos. We also collect what’s needed to run your day inside the app, like which day you’re on and whether you’ve done today’s action.

Why we collect it

To run your coaching. Nothing else. Everything you give us feeds back into what Daniel builds for you: your daily reading, your check-ins, your progress over time.

Where it lives, and who can see it

Your account and your data are hosted on Vercel and stored in Notion, both established providers. Those systems are only ever accessible to the two Centrepoint founders, and only Daniel works directly with what you share as your coach. If you send a voice note, the audio goes once to Groq, a transcription service based in the US, gets turned into text, and the audio itself is deleted immediately after. It’s never recorded or kept. All of our US-based providers are covered by the UK’s approved safeguards for data leaving the country.

What we never do

We never sell your data. We never run ads or ad trackers. We don’t run analytics to watch your behaviour beyond what’s needed to make the app work. And we never use your journal or voice notes to train an AI model. The only AI involved anywhere in this app is the one that turns your spoken voice notes into text, and that’s all it does.

How long we keep it

Only for as long as you’re a client. There’s no separate retention period sitting behind the scenes: the moment you close your account, everything you’ve shared comes out of our systems straight away and is fully cleared, including from trash and backups, within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see everything we hold on you. You can ask us to correct anything that’s wrong. You can ask us to delete it all, and closing your account does exactly that, straight away. You can ask for a copy of it to take elsewhere. You can ask us to pause using it while a question gets sorted out. You can object to how we’re using it. And nobody here makes automated decisions about you: every reading and every response comes from Daniel, never a machine. This notice is how we keep you informed in the first place, and we intend to keep it that way.

If something’s wrong

Email us first, at privacy@centrepointlifestyle.io. We’ll get back to you within a month. If you’re still not happy, you have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the ICO, at ico.org.uk.
